The morning was forecast to be 40-50mph onshore so I thought it would be better in the afternoon when it was forecasting 30mph. But the wind had dropped to 20-25 mph when I got there at 1pm and dropped even more by the time I started sailing. So after a vain attempt I gave up and went home. Looking at the weather station the wind did pick up again after an hour or two. :(
